Hello, there.  My name is Mary Stephenson.  I am a watercolorist and oil painter from North Carolina.  I have lived and painted in Tanzania, Morocco, Norway and currently, the United Arab Emirates.  As you browse, you’ll see that I love interpreting insects, bugs and nature’s small creatures at a large scale.   More recently, I am expressing themes such as architecture, history and cultural stereotypes.  Feedback is welcomed, appreciated and desired. Please feel free to contact me using the form at the bottom of this page or link up through Instagram or Tiktok.  Thank you for taking time to browse.

If you are God, your work is to create out of nothing. If you are not God, but like God — that is, if you are human — your work is to take what God has made and shape it and use it to make him look great.  -John Piper
