Oh boy, this is awkward. What am I doing here? I know almost nothing about art. I don’t even like the word “art.” It gets on my nerves. Sounds pretentious. And what is it anyway?
My friend, pastor and second dad shared this montage recently. It’s a compilation of silly things said by the creator’s colleagues in art school. I loved, loved, loved it. And it pretty much sums up my apprehension of art, and all that it entails.
That said, I love [ahem] “art.” I love looking at it, discerning whether or not I like it, and doing it. But I almost never like my own creations. And that’s what I’m hoping to change.
